Chris Hale is playing the guitar, mandolin and bass. Rose Hale is playing the violin and piano.
Why this name?
The tunes are mainly jazz guitar songs
Do you play live?
Live, seldom. Can't say I like playing live. Been there done that. My dog Georgy is my best fan.
Played at the Smithsonian once or twice. Watched the Thelonius Monk jazz guitar contest years ago.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Power to the individual musicians.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Hand me a pen and get my lawyer, banker and accountant on the line.
Band History:
It has been uphill all the way with pain and slow traveling. I don't play with bands and can't say I would want to due to the vagaries of life and the human condition.
Your influences?
My dad taught me all he knows about the guitar. Maybe that's my problem?
Favorite spot?
My favorite spot is high in the hills of old Virginia soaking my tired feet in the cool stream of life. No favorite cities because I avoid them.
Equipment used:
I use a Heritage Golden eagle arch top and a digital fostex recorder. My tennis racquet is a Babolet aerodrive.
Anything else...?
I like to create tunes and variations. I took the Jazz masters class by Oliver Gannon. I also enjoy bluegrass flatpicking and contests.
I am in the Virginia Tech Economics program with a fellowship for a Phd. Should finish in 2009ish.
