Why this name?
-Really didnt have a 'stage name' to begin with. Just started calling myself "Slim" in a freestyle one day and it stuck. It rhymes with my real name, plus I'm tall (6'5") and skinny, so people have been calling me Slim my whole life, without even knowing it was my nickname!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
-Much more exposure for unsigned artists, and much more signed artists losing money, but its all good, bootleggers gotta eat too. Life is one big hustle.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
-Yeah but I aint stupid, I'ma read the fine print. A n*** like me aint gettin jerked... (pause) (see: The L.O.X., Da Band... hell, anybody on Bad Boy for that matter!). Also I aint gettin with no label that wont promote me, and push my album back for an eternity (see: anyone signed to Roc-A-Fella Records, especially Cam'ron).
