My band consists of one guitarist (me) and one vocalist (me). It's nice. We all pretty much get along, on the most part.
Why this name?
Well, it was actually endowed to me by my parents, believe it or not. Carrie, according to my folks, is short for Caroline. And Caroline is actually my middle name, following Julia. So, yes, for all you substitute teachers out there, I'm actually Julia. But call me Carrie, please.
Do you play live?
Occasionally, when the opportunity presents itself. I've played in a few coffee shops from my hometown in northeastern NC to Nashville, TN to Atlanta, GA. Mostly, though, my music fills the sanctuaries of local churches, as worship to my God. He has given every song, and it is my joy to give them back to Him!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
hm... Well, it provides a good source for piracy. On the other hand, it also provides a good base for up-coming artists to get their voices heard without having to go anywhere or know anybody special.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Sure... But let me check with my attorney first. :)
Band History:
History? hm... I was born on a dark October evening to two expectant parents. They loved me and cared for me and brought me up in a nice, respectable-like suburb of North Carolina. Jesus loved me too, and I soon realized this and gave all my love back to Him. I took a liking to music at about the same time (I think I was about three years old) and decidedly told my grandmother that my purpose on earth was to sing for Jesus. And that pretty well brings me up to date. And, well, here I am.
Your influences?
Norah Jones, Ella Fitzgerald, Rosemary Clooney, ...that type...
Favorite spot?
A castle in the clouds.

Martin or Seagull guitars. Vocal chords.
