Well, I am not a band! I am an individual artist.
I love to sing, however my primary focus right now is songwriting! I have been writing for about 10 years, and this is a place where I can share my songs with anyone interested in listening. Hopefully, I will get feedback, negative or positive, either way I want to grow and learn, because life is a never ending cycle of progression. I will never stay in one place, I will always better myself, and my art,..so please email me with any thoughts, ideas or suggestions about my music!

Why this name?
Calliope, is a famous character in Greek Mythology. She is the Muse of Epic Poetry and Song.
Do you play live?
I do perform ocassionally, even though becoming a professional singer is not my goal in life, I just enjoy music! Special moments,..hmm, I won 10th place in a national competetion last year that was pretty significant(I competed againist 70 other women), and most recently I won third place in the Oklahoma Country Idol competetion beating out about 300 other people! Singing for me is theraputic, so it is always special!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It makes artists more accessable to their fans,..and it gives individuals the opportunity to display their own work as well,..over all I think the music industry in whole has prospered from it!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
No, I do not have the committment it takes to be a recording artist, there are too many demands, that I physically and mentally would not be able to meet! However,..approach me with a publishing deal,..and it's done deal.
Band History:
My songs have been recorded and preformed by several local up and coming artists! Other than that I don't have much a of a repetoire!
Your influences?
This is always the toughest question for me to anwser. Lyrically without a doubt Elton John/Bernie Taupin and Stevie Nicks! Vocally I would have to say Aretha Franklin, Faith Hill and Elvis Presley! I 'm weird!
Favorite spot?
The Grand Canyon, it is so magnificent! It is a largness you can't even fathom, not even in person!
Anything else...?
All my songs are piano tracks, with some syn. orchestration! Not fancy, but it gets the point across! Thanks for listening!
