Band History:
Since its inception in 2000, Kang and Kodos has labored at creating a grand vision combining multiple genres of music, a variety of political and religeous ideas, and a strongly visual digital art to illustrate one point. The World Is Going tO Hell In a Handbasket. The group consists of; a Keyboardist(and midi knob tweaker/graphic designer) with a great love of kitaro and jan hammer, a guitar (and bass) player who's background lies in punk and blues, and a vocalist (and producer) trying to emulate the political stylings of chuck D or zach de la rocha. Mix all three into a blender and push play. That is Kang and Kodos.
On their first album 2002's "Harbinger" the trio were beginnig to find their stride as a techno group with hip hop underpinnnigs. many of the tracks instramental. The grand ideas were there, but the message was not.
In 2004 "War Machine" was released. In 2 years the band morphed into a more blues and rock oriented group with full time vocals to make sure the message was well recieved. Politics of Bad Government that are discussed set the stage in the first chapter of the musical Trilogy(Romancing the Apocalypse) set to follow.
In 2005 the album "Deus Ex Machina" is set for near immediate release. Further venturing down the rock path and towards a more organic feel(less technological), Kang and Kodos's new album focus's on Beliefs of Humanity.
the Third as of yet untitled album, focusing on Technology is in production now.
