This is 26 records. Punch line is in stores and online. Sittin on 500 sold and in the hood and is to me certified gold status without the promo. Next at bat is Bad Habit with the self titled LP "Bad Habit" coming in fall 05, followed by The Back Block Boyz "Time Da Re UP". Not to mention R'Von "My spirt and My Mimd". We workin on big things workin with all types of artist. We do our own self production along with young seven from the west side. We takin the streets by storm with our brand of music. We bting the beat to life and our life on the beat. We hungy just like everyone else. If you show us love then we show love back.
Why this name?
26 is the block where we was raised on. There were other artist to come from our hood that we lost to death or jail so we figure since we got out shot in the game that we should rep our hood to the fullest
Do you play live?
No. But we got things in the making.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet allows you to get a buzz going nation and worldwide while you can slowly take over where you from. In that same breath it can kill you because some of your work can leak out and hurt you.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Sure will if its a distrubution deal or a deal where we would control our project and get a chance to produce with some of the great artist and other producers.
Band History:
Everyone thats affiliated with 26 records was raised and lived life on 26th street. We all decided to put our money where our mouth is and got the label on and cracking.

Our musical influences are, Kanye West, 2pac+Outlaws, Jadakiss, Just Blaze, Sean carter
