I am an underground lyricist reprsenting Kentucky. I have been recording rap for more than 7 years. I have worked with Hypnotized Minds recording artist, Lil Wyte and several underground artists. I have been featured in ME: Music Entertainment and Louisville Music News. I perform live regularly in Cincinnati, OH and cities throughout Kentucky. I believe hip hop should be treated as art, and that is what I strive to do. Generally speaking, my style consists of thought provoking lyrics delivered in rapid-fire/melodic flows. But I like to experiment and dont like to get too predicatable. I have a passion for writing and recording, as well as performing live. I encourage feedback and I enjoy collaborating with other artists.
Why this name?
I just made it up when I was young, and then it became a part of me.
Do you play live?
Yes, I do and I love it everytime. My favorite was opening for Lil Wyte in Cincinnati. A lot of my family and good friends came up to see me, and it was the foundation for a lot of my musical relationships I have now. The next day, I got in the studio and recorded a song with Lil Wyte also.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It changed almost every aspect of it in some way... It gives local artists access to listeners that would have been impossible before the technology.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Probably, but that is not my goal.
Band History:
Its not that interesting yet. I grew up in Frankfort, KY and started taking rap seriously when I was around 16. Some friends and I started "Differ Entertainment" and recorded quite a bit of material. Then after that was defunked, I started "Idea Entertainment" and recorded more material. Eventually, I reached a point where personal drama and artistic differenced encouraged me to follow my own path. Later, I recorded a collaboration album with Anthony Highley from the band Beyond Blind, and we continue to work together. Now, I remain a solo artist but perform frequently with the Fantom Recordz family as well as a band from my hometown, Groove Manifesto.
Your influences?
Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, Outkast, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Common, The Roots, Bone Thugs, Eminem, Jay Z, POD, Nas, Matisyahu, Incubus, Linkin Park, The Doors, many more.
Favorite spot?
Kentucky.
Equipment used:
Right now, as far as recording at home I use a Samson USB Condendenser Mic and my software is Audobe Audition 2.1
