hmmm...well, I came across "vamp" from reading a music magazine describing "while the rhythm vamps over the such-and-such chord," and I think "Blue" describes our sound as well as any color, a dark steel blue. Then there's the reference to the "blue" note, although we don't play the blues I think we express similar emotions, so we vamp over the blue. Now I'm just babbling.
