Heavy Love is:
-Gordon Kahan: Guitar, keys, vocals. Teacher at Austin Guitar School. Former student of Joe Satriani. Founder/manager of Heavy Love.
Edgar Pratt: Vocals, guitar, keys. Formerly signed to EMI.
Mark Mastronardi: Bass. Graduate of Berklee College of Music. Austin session player and performer.
Stephen Morley: Drummer, vocals. Toured Europe and played the BBC with "The Gems".

I love heavy music; thus, Heavy Love.
Do you play live?
We do. A guy at Curve (San Francisco) said we sounded better live than some of the bands we cover, and having seen some lackluster performances by some big acts I'd have to agree.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
More power to the people, less to the mega-corporations.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes.
Band History:
Heavy Love was born in San Francisco in 2002. I had been playing in original bands for years and wanted to put a band together that played the music I have always loved. As a professional guitar teacher I have learned how to mimic many guitar players, so why not put that talent to use? That's what Heavy Love is: covers of guitar driven music played just like it is on the album/cd.
