Who would have thought that the 9 year old girl singing "Angel" by Anita Baker at a friends reception would blossom into the wonderful talent we see today. Mona Lizza is definitely not your everyday, run of the mill performer. She actually still believes that music can change the world.

Her style of song is a little bit of Aretha Franklin, Anita Baker, Toni Braxton and Gladys Knight rolled into one. She really does sing from her heart. "When I perform",says Mona Lizza, "it's important to me to make sure I reach the audience. If I can brighten someone's day by singing their favorite song to them after a long days work, then I've done my job!"

Mona Lizza started singing professionally with New Mix Entertainment Agency in Downtown Detroit about 5 years ago. "It has been such a wonderful experience learning from a wonderful talent like Ms. Grace and others in the agency. I love singing live but there's nothing like going into the studio and recording your own music. It's a blast."

Mona Lizza also enjoys bringing attention to nonprofit organizations with worthy causes. A portion of the proceeds from each show goes towards continuing the wonderful work these establishments do but also putting money back into the community in which the events are held!
