Brien Sweet is a man ambitiously on a mission. A mission to prove to the world there is other kinds of music that can be produced from young acoustic guitar players besides the John Mayer/Dave Mathews craze. Not to say you shouldn't enjoy that genre, but you should be aware there is incredible alternative music out there as well. So if you would be interested in something a little different, Brien describes his original sound as capturing the spirit and quirkiness of 80s new wave and then the angst and intensity of early 90s grunge, blending them together, and then executing an emotional "unplugged" performance.
Brien has played at many restaurants, lounges, bars, college campuses and coffee houses within an hour drive from Nashua NH. He is available for hire to play either up to an hour set of originals, or over three hours of classic and alternative rock covers.
Recent covers include: U2 - "One", Smashing Pumpkins - "1979", David Bowie - "Space Oddity", INXS - "Need You Tonite, The Wallflowers - "One Headlight", Rolling Stones - "You Can't Always Get...", Billy Joel - "It's Still Rock and Roll To Me", The Beatles - "With A Little Help From My Friends", and 3 hours worth of more songs.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It's great music is so accessible, but nothing beats CD quality still. A CD quality wav file is about 10 Mb a minute, when an MP3 file is about 1 Mb a minute. Until we can download 40 Mb a minute, I personally like playing CDs.
And Vinyl! Nothing beats having that tangible package, with vinyl the cover is so big. It makes you feel special to hold it and own it. YOU CAN'T WRAP YOUR ARMS AROUND AN MP3 FILE. But that's just how I feel right now. Please indulge in my free downloads. Tell your friends.
