alrite folks. i guess our band is more of a group, going by the name triganomabeats. we consist of 2 human beatboxers, 1 scratch DJ and a rapper. we also have a couple of people behind us for making beats on computers, which 3 of the main band can also do and we have a couple of female vocalists at hand for when we get into the studio.
Why this name?
originally there were just 3 of us, all human beatboxers and the name kinda came from three = triangle = triganomatry = triganomabeats.
Do you play live?
hell yeah we play live! play anywhere we can get hold of coz there is nothing better than live music. if u cant play live, u aint got the talent.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
i suppose it gives small time groups/bands/artists a chance to be heard by a wide audience. u just got to hope people stumble accross your work.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
probably but not if they wanted us to turn our music into some pop bullshit for the charts. we do what we do, if u like it, good, if you dont then listen to something else!!
Band History:
hmm, we been together since about january 2004 or feb 2004. done live shows locally, started off as 3 beatboxers, then were reduced to two beatboxers (the other one is on the production side of things now) and added a scratch DJ and a rapper
Your influences?
3 of the main group are hip-hop heads, u.k and u.s and one of them is a hip-hop/drum n bass/bassline head. everyone loves drum n bass n hip-hop!
Favorite spot?
dunno. i cant speak for all of us on this one.
Equipment used:
we use a pair of D.J turntables. sure SM58 mics and whatever else comes to hand. the korg kaos pad 2 is fun to play with!
