FNUH

These songs were recorded quite a few years ago, sometime in the mid to late 1980s in La Habra, CA. and the band has long since been defunct. Newly resurrected by me, Ringo, of Vomit Mop fame; they are presented here, unedited and in their original format. Although I had no involvement with FNUH as far as playing, I did write with them although none of the songs featured here have any of my contributions. These mainly acoustic tracks were never intended for release and were basically songwriting excercises and therefore very raw and unpolished. Some were even first takes, but they still showcase the songwriting skills possessed by Jamie and Richard as well as being the only FNUH recordings that we could find - sort of like the Beatles Anthology if you will. They were recorded live with cheap mics and analog recording equipment - there are no filters, plugins, or anything digital on these recordings. Any effects that you hear are analog and were applied live. The piano that you hear is an ancient standup that we got for free sometime in the 1980's and brought back to the garage/studio in the back of my pickup truck - driving down La Habra Blvd. in my truck on a warm summer day with these guys in the back playing the piano and singing is a memory that is forever etched onto my brain. Although these recordings that you hear are acoustic, FNUH was a hard rocking band first and foremost and an experimental acoustic one second. Hopefully we will be able to dig up some lost electric FNUH for you too.

Why this name?
FNUH is not an abbreviation or an acronym and rhymes with "duh." It's basically an inside joke from days long past and is not the true or original name of the band although future recordings will be under the name FNUH.
Do you play live?
Not in a long time, but hope to again.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Obviously it gives every one a chance to be heard worldwide.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

Band History:
FNUH was formed in the late 1980s in La Habra, CA, by bassist/singer/guitarist/keyboard player Jamie, guitarist/keyboard player Richard (aka Todd), and drummer Vince as Age Gracefully. The band eventually folded due to many of the same reasons that lots of bands fold, although perhaps a little more extreme. It would make a good book. They played their first and last gig at my ex-wife's birthday party under the influence of LSD and split up shortly thereafter, although it was a classic performance. This is a band that should never have stopped, and with any luck they will write once again.
Your influences?
At the time, the major influences on FNUH were Van Halen, KISS, and Queen. Although not done purposely, notice the resemblance of Jamie's voice to that of the late Freddie Mercury.
Favorite spot?
La Habra, CA.
Equipment used:
These recordings are 100% analog except for the files.
Anything else...?
Please let us know if you like this music - perhaps the band could be brought back together.
