Hi and thanks for stopping in! My name is Jared Starr and I'm a songwriter looking for people interested in my music. It's mostly country and ranges from traditional to today's country. God has blessed me with a beautiful wife and two wonderful children. I believe there are many things that make a song, beginning with the writer and the lyrics and ending with the singer and vocals. It's a package that either works or doesn't. Whenever there is a connection where a singer gets the perfect song and breathes life into that song, it cannot be stopped. Music has no limits. There are no rules in songwriting, just guidelines to help keep you on the right track. Once again, thanks for stopping by my site and I hope you enjoy some of the songs I have written.
Why this name?
My last name. Starr. See, no matter what happens in my life, I'll always be a Starr! I'm really just a songwriter looking to pitch songs from traditional to today's country to christian country.
Do you play live?
Most special and most fun time was singing at my brother's wedding. No, I don't play live.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Faster. Easier. eliminates postal services to a point. I would think it would make life easier on industry big dogs.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If that's the Plan, then yeah, I would definitely. If that's not what is planned for my life, then I'm still just as happy doing what I'm doing with my music.
George Jones, Hag, Ray Price, Buck Owens, Jim Reeves, George Strait, Kenny Chesney, Lonestar, Diamond Rio, Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, classic rock, classic country, Billy Joel, Josh Groban, etc. If it's good enough to hear twice, I love it.
Ft. Worth, Las Vegas, Nashville, mainly Texas though. Hangin' out at the Rappidann.
Well, usually it's just me, my Takamine, and I use a Fostex VF-80 for recording.
God has blessed me all my life, but it was only recently that I began to realize it. I started writing songs about fifteen years ago and just recently started trying to push them. I don't really need to sing them, I really love the writing part. If I can make you smile, laugh, or cry, then it's worth everything to me. God is in control, so I just try to go where He leads.
