DragonLips music is a compilation of thoughts and concepts by Mike O'Hara, manifested in a pure alternative metal form. In the current day of "nu-metal" and "grind metal", DragonLips take us back in retrospect to the beginnings of mainstream metal. Music inspired by metal pioneers like Metallica and Pantera, while still influenced by more recents acts like Sevendust and Machine Head. This music is created to be larger than life, with loud vocals and guitars, edgy riffs and thunderous drums.
Why this name?

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet has revolutionized the way we communicate. Part of how we communicate is rooted in the music we share. While there is no question the internet has facilitated file sharing, legally and illegally, it has also afforded the independent artist a forum in which to display his/her thoughts and emotions.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Pay my bills and tell me where to jack in!
