Based in Atlanta, GA the 3 Bad Brothaz, comprising of Kontrol & Kidd Star, are not your average DJ's. Setting a new standard for what a DJ should be, the 3 Bad Brothaz continue to redefine music with their trademark sound, E-Hop, which fuses electronic music with hip-hop.
Known for the unparalleled energy not only in their performances but also in their production & cd's, these suburban kids are single handedly responsible for putting dance clubs back in business.

Why this name?
The group originally started out with 3 individuals (Kontrol, Kidd Star & DJ Hydrualic) we called ourselves that because of the Beastie Boys reference, "3 Bad Brothaz ya know so well"...we felt that we were the new age beastie boys.
Do you play live?
We play live & tour regurlarly across the Southeast in Atlanta, New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Mobile, Birmingham, Tampa, Nashville, Dallas and many other cities (check our tour schedule @ myspace.com/3badbrothaz for an updated schedule). We have had many special moments & met many special people. The road can be fun as well as harsh, it's a double edged sword. But we can't complain.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It has completely changed the game. It has open the flood gates sort of speak, to where now anyone with a computer can step onto the playing field. However, it also has allowed the poor artist to have access to more tools & opportunities to get their music heard. Double edge sword once again.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes, but it would have to be the right contract. We have been in the game long enough to know a good deal vs. a bad deal. Today's artist can survive by themselves without a major. And remember, the most important thing as an artist is your creative power, once/and if that is taken away you can never get that back.
Favorite spot?
Louisiana, great state, great people, great atmosphere & truly a city fueled by it's people. Hat's off to you guys!!!
