Band History:
M.C.M. started in 2004 when Green Bay rappers Anton 2020 and Dr. Diaz recorded their first collaboration, a song entitled "Shell Shock". Anton 2020 had had success earlier that year with his hit single "The Green Tree Room" and after "Shell Shock" was recorded (originally intended for Anton 2020's solo album) the duo began working together regularly and released their debut album “M.C.M.” on May 17, 2005. The album was a great local success and M.C.M. quickly recorded and released another album entitled “M.C.M. Volume II” in August of that same year. After the release of this album M.C.M. formed their own record label “Green Tree Records INC.” and began working with producers from all over the nation, parting ways with their long time producer Jojo Goodsmith. It was at this time that Dr. Diaz revealed in an interview that M.C.M. stood for Makin’ Cash Money, finally putting an end to all the rumors about what the group’s name meant. On May 9, 2006 M.C.M. released their third, and most recent album to date, “Makin’ Cash Money” featuring the hit singles “What”, “Lose Your Mind”, and “Nitelife”, with production by Shadowville Productions, Sho-Down of Rock-It Productions, XV of Kingsmen Productions, and many more notable producers. The album has been both a local and national success via the internet and can be downloaded totally free through a variety of websites, making M.C.M. one of the most notable rap groups in Wisconsin. Currently M.C.M. had begun work on a new album, entitled “The Great Cesscapade”, set for release sometime in late 2007.
