You see a monster coming down the street. It's half animal, half machine and yet human. Disgusting but graceful. You cannot drive your eyes away from it. You like its screams, the way its servomotors rage trying to go faster and faster. You feel the pain, the fear.
LIFO is the combination of harsh electronic music, sound effects and cyberpunk literature.

Why this name?
LIFO stands for Last In First Out. That's a fairly common data storage process. It sounds good in many different languages and it has a poetic recursive aspect to it.
Do you play live?
Used to play live with a backing band. We played all over Brazil already.
A special moment I recall was when we played to a 200 crowd that never heard of us before and they all danced and cheered from start to end. In the middle of one song my keyboard start to sound weird and totally ruined the song and then I started to try to fix it, the old way, punching it, scraping it against the wall and finally throwing it against the guitar player, a guy who annoyed me from day one. We started to fight on stage. The crowd went wild. Once the song finished, some of the people on the audience came to the stage to return pieces of the damaged keyboard and compliment us.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It helps people try before buying it. I don't believe music piracy is what is stopping people from buying CDs. It's the high prices all over the world. If only most of the money went to the artist.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Sure. But I will read it first ;-)
Band History:
LIFO started 1992 and we did a lot of things. I'm trying to write it all down. I promisse it will be here someday.
