The name "Five Style Fist" was derived from a old Kung Fu film. We won't not say which one though.

Yes, it's the only way to truly complete the music. No song is finished with out presenting it in front of a crowd of people. We feel that this is very important. We are able to feel out the crowd’s response and the feeling we are having while performing it. If it works, it is genuine.

We are a live band. We live to rock crowds everywhere.

It gives us a much better chance to get exposure. This is a very powerful tool to the independent musician. But, the music industry will have to continue to evolve and integrate to truly benefit from this recently harnessed medium. Which ultimately may do more harm than good to thriving independent music.

This five piece was formed in 2001 on an AFE tour to Europe. The members then performing under another name streamlined when they returned to America and Five Style Fist was born. Since 2001 FSF has been dedicated to writing, recording and blowin' up live shows all across Colorado and beyond.

We have an integrated sound. This is due to the wide range of musical background in Five Style Fist. We base most of the music off of dub/reggae, funk and jazz then infuse it all together with the root of our sound, Hip Hop. We are a live instrumental Hip Hop band.
