Pe7er is Peter Martin from Nijmegen, The Netherlands.
Why this name?
My Pe7er nickname was inspired by the character name Da5id from the book Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Yeah: Internet & MP3 are a great addition: I get to know other music (also from other amateur musicians) that I wouldn't know without Internet & MP3. I still buy records but now I can listen more properly to the MP3s of those in advance.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Try me.... :-)
Band History:
Back in 1993 I started making electronic music at a 286 PC (MSDos, 640kb memory, no soundcard but 2 DA convertors at the printer ports that I built from a diagram). I used a MOD tracker called ModEdit to create my tunes till 1996. MOD is a 4 track Commodore Amiga based format, it's a sort of MIDI but with samples included.

Recently I continued making electronic music, now with Jeskola Buzz, available for free at: http://www.buzzmachines.com/
Your influences?
All sorts of music. My fav Artists include: Amon Tobin, DJ Shadow, Adult. My fav Labels: Ninja Tune, Lo Recordings.

Other influences are old jazz, blues, soul, punk, rock, exotica and classical vinyl records.

Finally I am also influenced by the 8 bit C64 (Commodore 64) SID tunes from the 1980s...
Equipment used:
Hardware: (AMD Athlon) PC, Stereo + Turntable, microphone.
Software: CoolEdit & Jeskola Buzz
Anything else...?
Thanks for listening to my tracks!
