Why this name?
They call me Hoo'KraZe (Who Craze?), now THAT'Z KRAZY! (Y'all aint ready yet!)
Do you play live?
I am part member of The Unified Army -aka- Tha UnderAchievaz -aka- The UA. WE've performed live in most DC area spots such as: The Aqua, Club 2K9 (now Kili's Cafe), 930 Club, State of the Union, The Lincoln Theatre, and Dream Nighclub just to name a few. WE've also been on the road doing shows in NY, Philly, Detroit, B-More, ATL, and the Carolinas. WE had a lot of fun on the road with DJ Kool, but I think one of our best moments would probably be the Lyricist Lounge Tour. WE rocked the sh*t outta that joint and we got a lot of love from the crowd. They didn't know who WE were when WE got up on the stage, but when WE finished they knew about that good UA!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It has it's pros and cons (get it?). Na, but seriously, it's cool because OUR music is right at your fingertips on the net, but as an artist, producer or CEO... That's bread being taken out of OUR pockets once WE become popular. WE work too hard for this sh*t, fo' real!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Maybe a production deal, but WE'd rather sign a P&D deal.
Your influences?
My influence is so wide. I love all types of music. Hip-Hop is just what I do. I really can't get into my influences. The Jacksons, The Beetles, Funk-a-delic, Roy Ayers, Ohio Players, Earth, Wind, & Fire, Steppenwolf, ALL OF HIP-HOP, Quincy Jones, Joe Sample, Chick Corea... Damn, it's too many to name, y'all.
Favorite spot?
I love DC (sometimes I don't), Philly is my second home, but ATL is... yeah! Detroit showed us a lot of love when we rocked out there, the b*tches and tha gangstas, WHAT UP DETROIT!
