I'm a solo acoustic artist from Nacton Village, England.
Why this name?
It has nothing to do with the Futurama episode! I think someone said it to me claiming it was a Hot Water Music album and I just liked the name.
Do you play live?
I play live, anywhere. I love playing live, I feel my songs come across best when I play them live.
The tour I did in July '06 with Matthew Aldous was pretty amazing, the gig at The Primrose in Leeds was especially fantastic.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it's a double edged sword. On the one hand of course musicians need money to keep the funding up and most mp3 downloading prevents this but at the same time the best way to be heard when you're an up and coming band is by having songs readily available for people to listen to and the internet is perfect. Mp3's on a whole though are very handy.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
It's not something I've really thought about to be honest.
Band History:
My names Marc, I'm 18 years old and from Ipswich. I write and perform my acoustic songs under the name aflightoremember.
aflightoremember was originally a side project for me between my previous bands 100 False Innuendos & Sera. As we started to break apart - due to a lack of a drummer, I began to focus more on some of my solo songs. At the start of 2003 I began to play a few shows (mainly at friends houses) and recorded an EP and album at home - 'Picture A Boat On Rocky Water' and 'Just Call Me On Hold' respectively.
After that, aflightoremember pretty much went on hold for a few months, until me and some friends organized a gig at the local coffee shop Vagabonds. I then went into Soundback Studios to record a new album titled 'aflightoremember'. With the CD under my belt I duplicated it (at home still) and set about booking some dates.
From January 2005 I started getting more gigs steadily around the East Anglia area. Since I wasn't totally happy with 'aflightoremember', I decided to record another release, the short four track EP 'For Jayden' at Tim Thorpe's studio. Again, I duplicated it and went about playing as many shows as I could and whilst trying to promote the cd.
The gigs carried on coming and in late 2005 I decided (as I had a lot of new material) to record a new album at Spontin Studios. The CD was finished within two weeks and was named 'Is There Anything?'.
In the summer of 2006 I set out on my first tour for a week (with fellow acoustic artist Matthew Aldous),which went extremely well.
Now having played over 50 shows (including a number of festivals - Eastern Haze, The Dolphin Festival, ZEEB?FEST) and two live radio sessions on ICR FM over the last twelve months, I've printed up 'Is There Anything?' and will set about promoting and distributing it as well as I can, through shows and hopefully word of mouth.
