What's up? This is Bassick, representing London Ontario. Been into rapping for about 2 years now, I have seen some great progress in both my lyrical ability and delivery of my lines. Loved Hip Hop since I was 6, even though I came from a family who all loved rock/metal music. I enjoy hip hop because its music people can relate to, and it is (i think) the purest form of self expression.
Hip hop = my life
Why this name?
the name Bassick came to me after letting go of my old alias "doktor chaos". I felt that name was too childish and uncreative. The name Bassick stood out to me, because I'm just a regular person like everyone else, and the name just sounded sick. The two words, Bass, and Sick go together well in this name because most rap/hiphop has a lot of bass, lots of body to the sound, and sick because, well you know!

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
mp3s revolutionized the way people record, produce, and distribute music. The internet is probably one of the largest retail industries in the world, with consumer spending happening everywhere. I believe mp3/internet hasa major role in the way the music industry operates today. Exposure is key and promotion is key...the internet provides both of these.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would sign with a record label...but it would be on my own terms, I wouldnt get jerked around by some prick in his pin-stripe suit...believe that. This might be the reason I'll probably never go anywhere with this, but oh well. My terms, my deal, my life...straight up.
Band History:
loved hip hop forever and I always will. something about the way a beat forms together with an mc's voice overtop of it...amazes me.
