Someone once called my songs "acoustic punk in slow motion." To most people it just seems folky but with some vinegar.
Why this name?
Using it your whole life you get used to it. Plus it just keeps getting funnier and funnier when people ask if I'm Ted's Troubled Ex.
Do you play live?
Yes, at coffee houses, festivals, bookstores, parties and open mics, about 90% limited to the Northern Virginia area.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I hope its part of a decentralization of power and influence within the industry. In folk, it's been pretty decentralized for awhile now, part of why I feel so comfortable in this niche.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
No. To be fair, I can't imagine any major label thinking they could make a buck off my music. The other thing is I really like owning 100 percent of my product and publishing.
