Cry Sound is, simply put, the raw material I compose in the early stages of my tracks. I use Cry Sound to get feedback from listeners to help me shape my tracks as well as make my material available to other artists who may wish to add their own material.
Why this name?
When I hear the word Cry, I think of melancholy emotion, and depth. Sound is simply the sense I choose to percieve this.
Do you play live?
Sound Cry is in it's creation phase, and currently does not perform live.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think the internet is a powerfull nexus of communication that allows us to experience what others have created, regardless of time or distance, with the click of a mouse. I do not feel that giving the music depreciates the music's value. I think that as your listeners expand, so does the value of the live performance. I think that music,s power to reach out to others exceeds it's possible profit value. I think Music is created by us, simply to be expressed to, and experienced by others.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I think probably not a Major Label. More likely a small independent label that might be able to offer me a more underground audience and more say in the use of my material.
