Why this name?
That is what every band is, an Ego Machine.
Do you play live?
Ego Machine has always been a live band. There are far too many "special moments" that we have had. Traveling is always an adventure for us.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet has been a great promotional tool for us. We get emails from around the world about our music. The more people we can reach, the better.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I guess its the trendy thing to say that major labels are evil. But we want to be sellouts. Let us bathe in corporate money!
Your influences?
Queens of the Stone Age(QOTSA), Queen, Radiohead, David Bowie, Spacehog, Foo, Fugazi, Coltrane, So many, but such little space.
Favorite spot?
Wherever we are playing.
