Core isn't your stereotypical rapper. In fact, Core makes fun of the stereotypical rapper often. 1) Core is white. 2) Core doesn't try to act black. Period. Core knows he is white. 3) Core likes to mix it up. Write a diss song, write a sex driven song, maybe even a deep song here and there. There is no knowing where Core goes next. Every song is something new.
Why this name?
I first started rapping when I was 13. I choose a really poor name, Meancore. The name was a joke. When I was 15 I was watching a show on the history channel where Nostradaumus predicted the 3rd anti-christ's name would be Matas. So, I decided to change my name to "Madas" (I didn't want the exact same spelling because obviously I don't want to be known as the 3rd anti-christ) to represent my inner war between good and evil. Note: I only put this name in my username because "Core" was already taken. Anyway people were under the wrong impression because Madas backwards spells Sadam. So, I changed my name again. This time I just shortened my original name to "Core". I like Core because it has more than one meaning. It can mean "Hardcore" or it could mean something that goes to the core of your soul.
Do you play live?
Not yet. I am currently working on making my comeback and getting a few songs to perform first.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Advertisement. For those of us who are stuck in a poor area we can get our name out there through the internet.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Of course. There are 3 goals when you are underground. 1) beat the competition. 2) Get your lyrics heard. 3) Get signed & make money. I'm no different than anyone else. I want mine.

Your influences?
If it were not for Will Smith, I would be just like every other white teenager holding up a "rap is crap" sign at a Ludacris concert. Will Smith was different. He stayed away from rap stereotypes. But because he didn't cuss and didn't get involved in diss wars, a lot of rap fans looked down on him. So, I didn't want to be exactly like him. I wanted to be a mix of Will Smith, DMX, Eminem (only because I'm white) and Tupac. To be quite honest, I like where I went. I'm not any of those guys. I am my own rapper and I think I have a lot in me that other rappers just-don't-have.
