Powerhowse Rock may be the only band left in North America playing big rock music with power-riffs, mind-blowing solos and hip-breaking backbeats. We broke up though. Kind of.
Why this name?
The name of a song by the infamous Metol Warrior of Salt Lake City.
Do you play live?
Yes, maybe, kind of, not really.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It is good.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
No, we'd sign one from our own label, if we had one...and if we were still a band.
Band History:
Powerhowse Rock may be the only band left in North America playing big rock music with power-riffs, mind-blowing solos and hip-breaking backbeats. The summer of 2001 was a boring time. Luckily, in September something big happened…Powerhowse Rock was formed and the world was altered irreversibly. Influenced by pizza, summertime and the super hits of the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s, five freshman-ish college students set out to create music that makes you wanna get fit or stay lazy forever. These guys are too thick to flush. With up to three guitars interlaced over an alien-tight rhythm section, hook-laden vocals have ample room to bore into your Alzheimer’s-grade memory. Yes!!!
Your influences?
Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Motorhead, Metallica, Rhapsody, Toy Box, Liquid Tension Experiment, Helloween, The Ramones, Dee Dee King, Weezer, Andrew WK etc..
Favorite spot?
Unincorporated Salt Lake or Binghamton NY.
Equipment used:
Electric guitars and electric bass powered by electricity, Drums, and Power vocals powered by Andy Power.
