I am Rob Marquenie. I make music since 1982. I play synthesizers, computer, sampler and I sing. I like to experiment with sounds, melodies and harmonies in a way it is often used in film music. I also like to work with other musicians.
Why this name?
I think my father and mother gave it to me. Quite some time ago.
Do you play live?
I don't play live anymore. I don't like rehearsals and repeating the things I have done before. I prefer the creative process of making music. Doing new things all the time and experimenting.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I hope that people one day will choose the music they like themselves in stead that the music business will do that for them.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I don't think so. I only want to make music that I like.
Your influences?
My record and cd collection.
