Misty Pang is a 25 year-old female from Honolulu, HI. Her earlier work leaned towards metal/death metal. But soon found her niche playing more of indie/alt and folk rock. She has two albums out, "Emptiness Remains" and "In The Grey." Also, under the name PANG, she released the metal EP, "Army of One" in 97. She plays all the instruments (guitar, bass, drums and keyboards) as well as the vocals.
Why this name?
It's her real, legal name.
Do you play live?
Misty plays live in coffeehouses and unplugged sessions, both in Hawaii and Mass. Also, you can find her filling in positions for other bands...so far she is the drummer and bass player for a couple of Hawaii bands.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet is a great tool for spreading indie music around the world.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Before, I would say yes, but as of now I don't really know...I love my real job.
