Kyoshi are an amazing young band with a fresh and unique sound, excellent songs and an abundance of passion for creating and performing.
The wickedly rhythmical voice of the band belongs to Leanne King, who is also the lyricist. She demonstrates all the best qualities of a front person even though she’s only 19. Guitarist Dan King (22) is Leanne’s big brother, both of whom have known drummer Ben Moore (22) since they were kids. The current and final line-up is completed with the introduction of Ben’s friend bassist Chris Curtis (23).
Together they form Kyoshi, a close, cohesive group and a musical unit that gels together to write and play emotional and original songs offering a distinctive and dynamic sound that no young bands around come close to.

Why this name?
'Kyoshi' is taken from the Zen word 'Hyoshi' which describes a state of unspoken communication between a group of people and the synchronisation of their internal rhythms.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Depended on who, when and why. Never say never man!
