I'm a solo female emcee, (also in a group called DSO: Deadly Sins Outfit). I've been ryhmin' for about 13 years. I've performed all over and I also teach kids how to write their own songs.
Why this name?
Cuz i'm always striving to b more, 2 b a better person and 2 b better at whatever I am doing, not compared 2 anyone else, but just for myself. And the 7 stands for God, it's a devine number, so it's also trying to be more righteous...
Do you play live?
Yeah, I've performed hundreds of times, all over Rhode Island at open mics and various events in the community as well as churches. I've also performed in a few other states (N.Y., Cali, Missouri, Baltimore and Boston) I love performing outside the most.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it's a great change for the better becuz it's more exposure and connections with others. The possibilities are endless.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
It depends on who, I'd like the masses to hear my music but not at the expense of selling out on what I do cuz I don't change for nobody, so it would depend on the label and the terms of the contract.
Your influences?
Life, everyday situations & thoughts. Krs-One, Bone Thugs, Hieroglyphics, Outkast/Dungeon Family, a lot of Reggae-Roots and Dancehall
Favorite spot?
Baltimore, Maryland
Equipment used:
I get beats from all different producers around the country. Many of them make their beats on the computer, mostly with Fruity Loops, some use Motif, Triton, or live instruments, I love performing with live music whenever I get the chance! I also play piano
Anything else...?
