Why this name?

It's just the initials of my first and last name. I grew up in a neigborhood where it was about 3 or 4 other jarrett's so i mostly just called "Jk"

Do you play live?

I play drum's, piano/keyboard/organ(thanks to my lil brother brett one'a the best musicians in the world) and i've sang and performed live a ton of times! The bigger the crowd, the better!

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

It's hot, it's giving people a chance to be heard all over the world who might not have had this chance before!

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

If it come's it come's and i'd love it, but i aint dwelling on it. I got an "A","B",and a "C" plan,lol!

Your influences?

Tank, Tank, and Tank,lol. Nah im playing, but tank is first on the list, then other cats i grew up on like John P. Kee, Boy's to Men, Kim burell, and just mad other Gospel and R&b artist, not to mention alot'a my family and church fam!

Favorite spot?

EastSide of Y.C.,lol! Nah, I've been so many places and enjoyed all of'em, but it's true, there's no place like da block,lol, i mean home!

Equipment used:

Motif keyboard, and any other instrument i can think of to make a track hott! Or atleast what ever instrument my brother Brett wants to play cause there's really nothing he can't,lol!
