Hey what's up this is 1929, an acoustic group out of Valrico, FL. We're not a big band by any means, just trying to get started.
Why this name?
The name 1929 is actually the year of the Great Depression so we thought it would go well with the lyrics and overall structure of our music.
Do you play live?
We don't play live that often, but have at parties and things of that nature. It's a sweet rush, there's nothing quite like it.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it makes music alot more accessible to people and it helps get your name out too.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
In an f'n heartbeat.
Your influences?
Man, let's see, Nirvana, Metallica, Foo Fighters, Simon and Garfunkle, Tom Petty, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and tons of others from the 70's all the way till now.
Favorite spot?
The beach. Peaceful, full of hot babes, there's no better place in the world.
Anything else...?
We hope everyone likes the music. It's not really the best quality but hell, we don't have a studio or anything.
