play lo-fi play hi-fi  Bass Solo Fremont, CA 1996
I have been playing out live since July of 1982. My constant driving charge is keeping the low-end rhythm anchoring of the bass guitar intact, but adding a screaming guitar-like layer on the top of it all.
Why this name?
Well....it's the name I was given, eh? ;-)
Do you play live?
Yes. Anywhere I can play. To me-there is no experience like performing live. And since I've done somewhere between 1800 and 2000 shows, I have too many special moments to list here! ;-)
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it allows performers easier ways to get noticed and connect with their audience.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
ABSOLUTELY! If the right situation came along, I'd go in a moment's notice!
Band History:
Wow....that's a lot of history. Many, many tribute acts, cover bands, original projects, TV and radio spots, studio sessions....lots of ground to cover!
Your influences?
Ok....here goes. Billy Sheehan, John Gallagher, Jaco Pastorius, Edward Van Halen, Uli Jon Roth, John Entwistle, Paul McCartney, John Paul Jones, Keith Emerson, and on and on and on....
Favorite spot?
A few! Here at home in Washington State, the SF Bay Area, the mountains of the Sierra Nevada/Tahoe, Hawaii, Canada, um....
Equipment used:
It has changed a lot over the years, but the one element that has not changed is my use of the Kahler Bass Tremolo. I am also a diehard fan of DiMarzio pickups.
Anything else...?
Anything?
