"This man is an emotional power station. He not only plays a fantastic guitar, he's also a juggler of rockfeelings. Feel in it!!"
- The Hagar Band
"I must say that this band has definitely got the talent that this music industry needs. Not once can you hear a “hole” in the song… every space is covered with sound and that is an awesome thing. This is definitely a keeper on my playlist!"-Becca aka BMuse, Gods of Music
Why this name?
I was born with it....
Do you play live?
Scott was named the "outstanding jazz guitarist" at the 1979 Elmherst Jazz Festival in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. He has performed in Toronto, Toledo Ohio, Indiana, and all across his home area of Cleveland Ohio - both as part of a band and as a solo artist.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The greatest thing, for me about the internet is that it brings many musicians, songwriters, artists, etc. together - the amount of talent out there is mind-blowing.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Scott Bakalar made his local radio debut, singing at age 4. He began playing guitar at the age of 9, and wrote his first song at 12. Needless to say, the man has been at this for quite a while.
Scott has always been influenced by a variety of musical styles; from jazz and blues to rock and alternative to classical, "Broadway" and world music.
Classic Rock with an alternative/crossover twist...like zeppelin, the beatles, rush and hawkwind all rolled into one but mixed in the 21st Century. That makes a change and that also makes it original.
