The names Shaun Melody from Nashville, TN. I've been singing since I can remember, writing since high school, and spitting since high school.
Why this name?
I chose this name...well actually I was in the studio with my boys (Faded Greatness) for the first time, and they said they were gonna start calling me "Shaun Melody"...I shrugged and it stuck.
Do you play live?
I've sang live at many churches, weddings, and some big venue's when I was in high school. Lately I've been doing some small clubs with my boy Beeson from Klientel, and by myself around Nashville and KY. Look out for us...may be coming to a city near you...SOON.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
A lot (well maybe some) people and bands that I wouldn't hear usually I listen to. And I hope that people who haven't heard me, and usually wouldn't get to, get to hear me.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If the deal is right.
Your influences?
In today's music: Musiq Soulchild, John Legend,Lauryn Hill, Jay-z, Common, Kanye West, Jagged Edge, 112, Dru Hill, Beyonce....As for "Old School": Temptations, Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson, Micheal Jackson, Luther Vandros, and church.
