Ohla, We are the Crown of Thorns. We actually got the name from a picture on a tee-shirt of Ozzy. We like to thin of ourselves as a Metal band, with some heavy classical stuff thrown in there for the spiritaul side of things. Our music is intended to cause you to think outside of yourself, if only for a minute. Our music is about the will to create, and to be yourself. Not mainstream, not what is the social norm, but what is real. Our music is about a lifestyle, about the freedom of the individual, not what everyone else thinks you should be. Be true to yourself, that is our motto.
Why this name?
I suppose you already know how we chose our name now!
Do you play live?
As of yet we are a garage band,just starting to get it together. But thanks to SoundClick, We are one step closer.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I believe that the internet is the best tool for the Musician. Itallows us to communicate freely, and lean from each other.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If we get to that point, I am sure we would think most intently on the subject.
Band History:
No history as of yet, still in the process.I as an individual, am a student, working on getting a Master in Environmental Law Degree. This is my sith year in college, and I am almost done. Other than that, My Guitar, and My girlfriend are the only loves in my life. they rock my world. The thing about a band is, is that it is the creation of a group of individuals, so we will see where that leads. Peace.
Your influences?
Zakk Wylde, Randy Rhoads, Dimebag Darrel, Slash, Eddie Van Halen (by himself), Everessence, Matallica, and every musician who is creating there soul.
Favorite spot?
Seattle Washington, Durango Colorado, Jackson hole Wyoming.
Equipment used:
Les Paul Guitars, Digi-tech multi units, Boss 7 band EQ. Amps may very, but we tend to go with Marshall, Pevey, and Randall.
