Hello, this is the music place for Scirocco, the side project of Rost bassist Ross Finnie. The songs you hear here are all just some fun, usually me bored and having watched all the daytime TV a human being can take!
Why this name?
Named after the fantastic Volkswagen Coupe. See the pictures!
Do you play live?
No playing live, this is all "studio", although if anyone ever wants to hear a bass player on their own, I'll happily oblige!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It lets cowboys like me get heard, when we really don't deserve to!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yeah, but that'll probably be the same day elvis comes back down the Forth in a spaceship.
Band History:
I started making my shoddy home recordings about a year ago, inspired by Taiga Blues, the solo work by my guitarist, Carsten. It's mainly just me learning to do new stuff, and hopefully you can hear some progress in not only my production and recording skills, but my songwriting too.
Your influences?
I like grunge and metal primarily, but that's what Rost do, I also like a lot of funk/groove based stuff, and that's more of what I do here.
Favorite spot?
The QMU in Glasgow. Good memories of good gigs and good times.
Equipment used:
Yamaha BB404 Bass Guitar

Ashdown MAG410 cab
Marshall MB25 combo bass amp
Squier Stratocaster (borrowed)
