Hi. I am Enduring Pain. I am a 21yr old singer/songwriter from Chantilly Virginia. Almost all my songs are written and recorded in my bedroom with just my computer, a mic, my electric piano, and my guitar, so quality of recordings is not great, but overall i think you might like the songs. I invision my songs to be along the styles of Evenescence, but i do not have access to an electric guitar or a drum kit, so they turn out as acoustic/alternative songs.
Why this name?
This name progressed from my xanga site to encompasing everything i do with my music. I had some bad experiences and have found the only thing that lasts through it all is the pain. and that is what fules my inspiration.
Do you play live?
i currently have not played live. i am looking for places arround that might do open-mic nights so that i can share my music, but i haven't found any yet. :-/
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
i think the internet is a great way for new artists to share their music with the world. with the use of MP3s and sites like this one, people from all different countries and areas can share thoughts and music and collaborate with one another and i think it's wonderful.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
if i could find a record label that was interested in me, i'd sign it in a heartbeat. i jsut want to sing and share my music. and if a label can help me, then i'm all for it.
Band History:
Your influences?
my biggest musical influences growing up were my parents who are very musically tallented. but as i started writing my own music, it was being shaped into something along the lines of Dido, or Jewel. my goal though is to find a band and make music like that of Evenescence because that is the music i most like to listen to.
Favorite spot?
i haven't found a favorite spot or city yet. i am an army brat, so i have moved arround my whole life. but so far i have not really found a place that can keep my interest... though when i was living in Moscow, that was awesome.
Equipment used:
i am limited to my Clavanove keyboard, my Ibanez acoustic/electric guitar, and a mic on my computer. and i use the program Audio Studio Delux 2004 to bring it all together.
Anything else...?
One last thing... I LOVE FEEDBACK!!!! any and all feedback you can give me on my music is greatly appreciated... even if you think it sux, let me know. i need to know how i can improve and grow as a musician.

and if anyone knows of anyone in my area who is willing to jam or wants to form a band and likes my sound, let me know that too... or a record label... or anything.

thanks.
