Hello! I'm Carolie (or Carolynn), and I'm an aspiring Jpop singer. Music is a big part of my life/passion, and I've been singing since elementary school in chorus. I don't have any origional songs yet, but when I finally become confident and learn enough Japanese I will. Thanks for listening! :D
Why this name?
Carolie was a nickname given to me by a friend because he thought Carolynn was too long to spell haha. I haven't chosen a "stage name" yet, but when I do, I'll be sure to post it!
Do you play live?
Not really since Orlando isn't really the prime place for Jpop lives. I have sang at Metrocon's Anime Idol event every year except for 2007.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Hmm... I believe it's having a double effect. Though it has dropped sales a bit, I believe it's definitely good for promoting bands and singers to more audiences around the world. Without the internet, I would have never gotten into a lot of groups, Japanese pop/rock and non-Japanese so I believe it has its good points.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I'd love to, but I'd like to start in Japan first.
Band History:
Well, like I said before, I've been singing since elementary school. I was always in chorus since I hated sports lol. Music was always my passion, even when I was a baby. It still does play a big role in my life and has even been my goal for my post-college career. In high school I was in Advanced Women's choir and out choral department won straight Superiors at Festival every year. The training I got from that I still use today, and hope that it'll help towards my goal of becoming a soloist.
