Mr. Real / Israh / Dove
This trio was formed when the Holy Spirit led three devout Christians to the same studio at the same time. Two of them (Mr. Real and Dove) had grown up together. The third (Israh) had met Mr. Real prior to that day. So they were not strangers to one another. However in the studio, Mr. Real was playing some tracks he had produced, and Israh was prompted by God to spit a firey flow. Then Dove started freestyling and came up with a hook. When Mr. Real heard the witty flow of Israh combined with the melodic vocals of Dove, he felt compelled to add his verbal assault. The result was their first single the smash hit "Now I'm Complete" and the beginning of a new type of music . . . Hip-Hop Worship!
Why this name?
As we sat in the studio trying to come up with a name for the group, God spoke to us through his Holy Spirit and said. . ."You shall be called Tri-Fold, because a threefold cord is not quickly broken."
Do you play live?
Our live shows are the greatest experience! One can witness the Spirit of God being ushered in by way of hip hop music. It is a worship experience like no other.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It puts us right in your face. . . in your homes, schools, workplaces etc.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Each member of Tri-Fold is also a solo artist, signed to various(indie) labels.
Favorite spot?
G.I. That's Gary Indiana for those of you who don't know. Oh yeah, Israh's favorite spot is CHICAGO.
