Slightly off-kilter power-pop, acoustic snippets and general tomfoolery from South Yorkshire's third-best local newspaper reporter turned singer-songwriter.
Why this name?
Because some other swine has already signed up to Soundclick using my real name. Bastard.
Do you play live?
Not really any more, although I once showed myself up at an open mic acoustic night in Darlington by attempting to play a half-remembered song my old band used to do whilst eye-bogglingly drunk.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It makes the music industry go all paranoid and defensive. Just for a change.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
That's a bit like asking, "Would you be in favour of all cows having five legs?".
Band History:
Formerly of lo-fi experimentalists Casper and their short-lived indie-rock spin-off Pilot Star, neither of which names now means much to anyone excect for their former members, Popzeus now ploughs a lone furrow of recording the occasional rough gem on his laptop when he's got a bit of time on his hands.

The results have been known to make people cry. The reasons for this are as yet unexplored.
Your influences?
Guided By Voices, Pavement, The Auteurs, The Smiths, Iggy & The Stooges, EPMD, Dr Dre, Beethoven, Built To Spill, Teenage Fanclub, Graham Coxon, Kool Keith.

And Many More, as the adverts tend to say.
Favorite spot?
Doncaster. It's a city in all but name.
Equipment used:
Some knackered old guitars, an Alesis drum machine and a laptop.
