Welcome to my realm of dark music. I hope you find these works both intriguing and enjoyable. And of course let there be rock....
Why this name?
Dreams of Darkness is a culmination of my darkest most mysterious ideas, transformed into a musical form.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
People can be heard that prefer not to play live. There are a lot of great musicians in the world that don't like playing in front of crowds of people.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes.
Band History:
Dreams of Darkness is a continual exploration of the darker vestiges of humanities music. Corey, the founding member of the group is an unschooled but talented musician who started playing guitar at age 15. During his tenure in the military he developed an interest in playing synths, using samples and recording music at home on his computer. It wasn't until his return to America in December of 2003 that Corey began developing the tone that Dreams of Darkness would be known for. Sometimes compared to groups such as Massive Attack, and Pink Floyd (depending on the song), Dreams of Darkness is characterized by heavy guitars, industrial-style drums and swelling synths. This sound is in continuous flux as new ideas develop over time.
