THE RIPPAH!!!
Hey kids, its time for Ripper, the heaviest f***in' band in the planet! 1 part classic songs, 1 part comedy, all crushing brutal metal!

...and we need some hot chick groupies.
Why this name?
Ripper was inspired by a combination of a certain scene in the movie Se7en and the Judas Priest masterpeice "The Ripper".
Do you play live?
Ripper will probably hit a couple dates this summer, playing BBQs and gatherings of friends. We're too metal for real venues (hahaha).
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Of course mp3s change the music industry. Do you really think we could get this sh*** recorded any other way?
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If anybody...ANYBODY...wants to pay us to make this stuff, id jump at the opportunity.
Band History:
Ripper was formed in 2003 by Dave (guitars) and Dean (vox), inspired by the machete dildo scene in the movie Seven. Nothing really happened for over a year, they just came up with elaborately cheesy ideas. Ripper?s recording debut arrived in August 2004, with the "Rippin' After Midnight" EP being completed in a day. With Dean's cringe-worthy singing throwing everything off, as well as a lack of bass or drums, it sucked pretty hard. But in a good way. In a hilariously awesome and metal way. All the guitar tracks were done in one take, and Dave had pretty much never played those songs before. Thus, spontaneity is where the genius of Ripper lies. This EP included a promo for the band, Judas Priest's ?Living After Midnight? and ?Breaking The Law,? AC/DC's ?Big Balls,? and a medley of tomfoolery (appropriately referred to as ?studio f***-around time,? including an acapella ?Too Young To Fall In Love.? The entire thing took just a couple of hours. Ripper then went on hiatus until December, as the band embarked on the alcohol-fuelled journey known as college.

On December 30th, a traditionally eventful day for Dave, the 2nd Ripper EP was recorded. "Riplash," a vast improvement over its predecessor, included bass (by Dave) and (MIDI) drums. Dean also improved?sort of. Dave even sang a song (KISS? ?Cold Gin?). The remaining songs were Judas Priest's ?The Ripper? (the band?s namesake), Iron Maiden's ?Run To The Hills,? Motley Crue's ?Girls Girls Girls,? and left over from the last session but with added bass and drums, The Misfits' ?Last Caress.? This EP swept the nation with rave reviews and laughter from all 12 of Ripper?s fans. Christmas break ended and Ripper was once again on hiatus until summer.

The following June (2005), Dave recorded all the instruments for the first full-length Ripper album, but Dean, plagued by laziness, put off recording the vocals until August. While screaming along to heroes and strong Ripper-influence Iron Maiden at a show on their Early Days tour, Dean f***ed up his vocal chords (?tis what the doctor said). Prohibited from singing or even talking loudly for 6 months at risk of further injury, there was only one solution. Dave quickly recorded a handful of new songs and Dean delivered a stunning Shatner-like vocal performance, thus birthing "The Shatman Cometh" EP. This EP included The Beatles' ?Helter Skelter,? AC/DC's ?It's A Long Way To The Top,? Slayer's ?Raining Blood,? Motorhead's ?Overkill? (Dave?s second vocal credit), and a Superjoint Ritual medley (?F*** Your Enemy? & ?Waiting For The Turning Point?). This EP is regarded by many as the shining moment in Ripper's catalog, their finest hour.

After such an unparalleled achievement, the band went on an extended leave until the summer of '06, when Ripper embarked on the epic journey known as recording vocals for their first full-length album. Over half of the songs for the album were finished over couple days in June, though they were mostly Dave's. Dean?s Achilles? heel (okay, he has several heels), laziness, had struck once more. Absolutely nothing happened until the middle of August. The album was finished recording on August 20th and mixed shortly after, officially being released on August 26th. This made it a whopping 1 year and 2+ months since the guitars and bass were recorded. ...f***ing singers. Clocking in at a massive 82 minutes and 39 seconds, there was no choice but to make this a double album. The first disc was simply called ?Hellbent For Ripper,? and the second appropriately dubbed ?Hellbent For Ripper: Chinese Rippocracy.? Ironically, Ripper actually beat Guns & Roses to the punch. Never before had Ripper taken on such a lengthy and epic quest, and it was well worth the effort. The first half of the album consists only of Judas Priest and Iron Maiden songs on Dean's part, and a Motorhead song for Dave. A fitting tribute to the most honored of bands. The second half is a cornicopia of metallic godliness, including songs by Megadeth, Metallica, Motley Crue, KISS, Black Sabbath, Ted Nugent, and last (in line) but not least, Ronnie James Dio. A music video was filmed in various locations for ?Metal Gods,? and was released alongside the album. At this time, the first volume of the Ripper home videos was also released; a proverbial smorgasbord of hilarity. Later installments followed with the release of any subsequent Ripper EP or album. The album, as well as the videos, were met with critical acclaim from fans, and Ripper once again entered its school-induced hiatus.

In January 2007, Ripper decided to bring in the new year in style by spontaneously recording a new EP. This EP, ?...And Bowie For All,? was a tribute to David Bowie and contains some of Ripper's best work yet, such as a duet on ?Under Pressure? and a shockingly heavy rendition of ?Space Oddity.? The second volume of the Ripper home video followed shortly after this EP. More varied than the first, it includes recording outtakes of "Under Pressure," an acoustic jam for "Space Oddity," Ripper Q&A, and a "Hot Rockin" jam.

Ripper's second full-length album, "Rippery When Wet," was released in the early days of August 2007. A true masterpiece, this album certainly stands out as an individual among the mighty weight of the Ripper back catalog. Unexpectedly in an acoustic format (for the most part), this was virgin territory for Ripper. A breathtaking achievement, it truly stands up to (and arguably surpasses) the standards of the first album. Starting and closing with instrumental pieces, "Rippery When Wet" includes numerous songs by Judas Priest, including the much-revered "The Ripper," as well as other various ass-kicking songs delivered acoustically. This album took on a bit of personal note as well, as "She Got A Smile" brings up many a sensitive memory for Dean. Quite the "heavy" song indeed, if you catch my drift. While a small handful of the songs do include some electric guitar, they were deemed necessary and do not damage the acoustic integrity of the album (so no one complain about it, or Ripper will track you down and use the machete dildo on you). The first single from the album was "The Ripper," accompanied by a music video as well as Volume 3 of the home video.

Starting the year off with a bang, Ripper released ?Whole Lotta Ripper? in January 2008, a concept EP based around nefarious women and, as Dean says, "Love and loss in the epic saga of metal." This new EP featured a cover model appearance of one of Ripper?s lead groupies (Dave's own, to be exact). As should be expected, ?Whole Lotta Ripper? stood up to the (not so) strict standards of Ripper glory, featuring AC/DC?s ?Whole Lotta Rosie,? Iron Maiden?s ?22 Acacia Avenue,? Queen?s ?Fat Bottomed Girls,? KISS? ?Christine Sixteen,? and Motley Crue?s ?Too Young To Fall In Love.? As always, this EP included a new segment in the home video; the 4th volume thus far, including a brand-new Ripper PSA segment as well as past classics.

Kicking off Rocktober 2008 in style, Disc 1 of the double-album "Ripping Is My Business...And Business Is Good!" was unleashed on the first of the month. Ripper's third full album (and second double), "Ripping Is My Business..." is a near-orgasmic cornucopia of metal. A stirring rendition of Ozzy's "I Just Want You" makes the first single, followed up by a blistering metal version of The Beatles' "Eleanor Rigby" sure to have John & George headbanging from the grave. Ripper also venture into death metal territory with Amon Amarth's "Valhall Awaits Me," a brutal favorite from the last home video. Also be sure to check out Dave's creepy-as-f*** version of Metallica's "Carpe Diem Baby." "Ripping Is My Business..." may very well be Ripper's finest hour. Disc 2 lands on Halloween, the 31st.
