Lost in truth
Sin-é is composed of 7 bandmembers speaking with one voice in different languages. Music to us is about truth, expressing emotions, distorting sounds, experimenting, life, fun, dynamics, tension, learning, changes, but above all freedom.

Why this name?
Sin-é is inspired by Jeff Buckley "Live at Sin-é". J.B. is an artist who we all admire and get some inspiration from, so our bandname was easily chosen...
Do you play live?
Performing is an all important part of what music is about. Transcending emotions, creating a vibe, and communicating with an audience, it's the best test for your music... We perform at local parties in Holland and Belgium, in several alternative theatres (Löss, Edd's), in Bars, jam-sessions, bandcontest (Dutch Final) and more. Our best gig was the first one. It took place in the garden of an artist's residence. There were torches in the garden, 100 people, cold beers and a lot of wine. We played for hours and hours till 04:00 in the morning. We played our own music, free-styled, jammed with a drunk piano-player who enjoyed f***in' around with pop-tunes, and a dog that started to bark everytime our guitarist wanted to solo. A lot of funny and crazy situations...
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It will replace the record company industry as we know it. Although the internet does offers a greater accessibility to music, ultimately leading to greater musical variety and diversity, small record companies and independent labels mostly lose at the game by earning less money, leading them to hire fewer bands... The side effect of this is that at the end of the day, it becomes sometimes harder to get your CD in a shop and earn some money with your own music...
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Only if we had enough liberty and independence in making our own music. For now we do everything ourselves!
Band History:
We've been around for a year and a half, the rest is boring and familiar.
Your influences?
Pink Floyd, Radiohead, Jeff Buckley, Jaga Jazzist Zero7, Portishead, Lamb, 4Hero, Dave Matthews Band, Erykah Badu, Xaver Fischer Trio... We try to blend some of these musical styles and influences into our own music.
Favorite spot?
We are an international band with people coming from the Czech Republic, England, Germany, France and The Netherlands. The places we love to hang out are those spots which give us inspiration, like jam-bars, parcs, but mainly there isn't much consensus about this question. Sorry...
