I'm dash, a student from the midwest. I'm a lyricist in general, but I can throw down a hot sixteen and a hook, so that makes me a rapper.
Why this name?
My middle name is Rashad. If you switch the first and last letters you get dashaR. After a while people dropped the aR and it was just dash.
Do you play live?
I live in Topeka right now because that's where I go to school. I don't really play anywhere right now, but I can always throw down a verse.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet definitely changes the industry because it makes artists more widely available much more quickly in the past.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Maybe, if the opportunity is right.
Your influences?
Well, my major influences in rapping are 2Pac and Notorious B.I.G. (obviously), Jay-Z, Freeway, Kanye West and Nas. Lyrically I'm inspired by pretty much anything I hear. Also, gotta shout out my two favorite producers, Twizz and JDelt (check 'em out, they're hot).
Favorite spot?
Kansas City (gotta represent for the hometown)
