Fragile is a music project by myself, Simon Burford, I write progressive alternative music, that tends to sway towards Grunge. I write music through the love of writing music and nothing more, but i do like it when my music is heard and appreciated, I think that's all any artist really wants.

Why this name?

Fragile just reflects the feel of my music, especially lyrically, very well. I guess my lyrics can be quite emo, but eugh, I hate that word.

Do you play live?

I don't play live, but only through a lack of a band, maybe I will do it on my own some day, but I'm just trying to write good music right now.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

It makes it better and more widely available, which is nothing to fear if it's done right. Artists are screwed by record companies as it is, it's only really the lables that miss out.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

haha, well yes, of course, it would mean greater distribution and more awareness of my music, but really it aint gonna happen!

Your influences?

I like loud distorted guitars with lots of sustain and richness, with emotional and pretty vocals, and meaningful lyrics. Bands that have influenced me are those like the Smashing Pumpkins, Muse, Nirvana, Hole, Deftones, Pixies, Queen Adreena, Ash, My Bloody Valentine, Bush, My Vitriol, Soma, Biffy Clyro, Bright Eyes, Radiohead etc etc etc
