Suspended Agitation combines elements of metal and grunge to create a sound that's both brutally heavy and pleasantly melodic. Our lyrics celebrate freedom of thought and lash out against ignorance, hypocrisy, stupidity, and abuse of power, among other things.

We recently completed an 8 song demo CD, and 7 of those songs are available for free download on the music page. Check them out immediately.

We're currently looking for more members. We need a new singer, but we're also looking for people to play guitar and bass. If you're interested and you happen to be in or near the Pittsburgh area, let us know.
Why this name?
Everything else we came up with was taken, and this one sounded cool.
Do you play live?
We only have two people, so live shows would be impossible. Anyone want to join us?
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Chris: It makes musicians whiny and annoying.
Ryan: I think it makes Lars Ulrich really, really mad.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Probably not. Major labels tend to mess with the sound of a band, and that would kind of go against our whole individualistic image.
Band History:
Suspended Agitation was formed in June of 2005 when guitarist Ryan McGregor and drummer/songwriter Chris Dunlap joined forces. They spent most of the summer writing and recording their demo CD, which was completed on August 16, 2005. Despite the fact that the majority of the recording was done in Dunlap's basement, the demo provides a high quality introduction to the musical powerhouse that is Suspended Agitation.
Your influences?
Nirvana, Metallica, TRUSTcompany, Sevendust
Anything else...?
My cat's breath smells like catfood.
