Welcome to a world of Death,Misery,And Pain. And if my voice doesn't kill ya I know my beats will!!!MUHAHAHHAHAHAHA.
Why this name?
Fits my style and is symbolic of my real name
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Well it has killed the brick and mortar cd store and now we reside in a slush of whats left and how an artist will REALLY profit off an mp3 remains to be seen...we can just sit back and hope now............
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
IF that arose guess I would yes...
Band History:
Well I began as a guitarist like in about 1993 I think and messed with 4-tracks and things till around 96 when PC recording became a cheap reality and then this lil indy label Animosity was born. From there I recorded for years till around 2003 I began to want to become a rap artist myself. In late 2004 I moved away from my home city to a small rural town and their began my online campaign and furthered my own journey as an artist. This rocked on till April of 2006 and had a small setback but have once again climbed back up the ladder. "Ressurrector" is but one of many musical persona's I have. I can make my own beats...record and master myself.....etc....Alot of my work as "Ressurrector" has been in horrorcore rap. Now say the word "horrorcore" to anyone on the street and they inmediately think juggalos or Icp BUT my take on it was to reinvent the wheel and make something much more dark and scary.......trying to lose the whole "bling bling" rap image about hoods and forties and make something instead that wasn't based on reality in general yet still a respected form of rap. For this I try and infuse many elements to this "NEXT GENERATION" horrorcore. Such as...The aggressiveness of Death and Thrash metal... The darkness of horror movies and media....The shock rock/rap value of horrorcore pioneers the Gravediggaz.........The fine "on the beat" rap styles of Dirty South rap. And finally beats that truly DEFINE what I am trying to do here. Where most "horrorcore" artist are hip-hop 18 out of 20 tracks on a CD and horrorcore for 2 I am quite the opposite at best. Halloween is every night of the year on most "Ressurrector" tracks. I walk the musical road alone with what I do and you either love it or hate it. I take much pride in the fact that I am musically independant and very unique. If you want real "halloween" type horrorcore then Ressurrector is the right stop!
Your influences?
Scary movies and video games for the horror aspect. Music wise I would say (rap)3-6 mafia,Bone,Dre,Necro, etc (metal) Deicide,Morbid Angel,Death,Slayer, etc. Horrorcore influences prolly the Gravediggz and Dosia Demon.
